Break Free
Activating Faith
Days 15 to 21. You mix the Word with faith, take thoughts captive, and use praise when the urge shows up.

Lesson complete
This lesson is marked done on this device.
Key points
- A promise does nothing until you mix it with faith.
- You trust the Father like a child and drop the argument.
- God does not change when your feelings do.
- You stop a thought at the door, out loud.
- Praise is a weapon. Use it in the middle of the urge.
- Trigger
The cue that starts it: a time, a feeling, or the device already in your hand.
- Routine
The habit itself. Name it in one word before you try to change it.
- Reward
What the habit was buying. Replace that, or the routine comes back.
The bath still holds. Jesus has not changed His mind about you. Basically, a verse you only store does not feed you. So these seven days you mix the Word with faith. You say it. You agree with it. You stand in it when the habit knocks. That habit might be porn, a scroll, a drink, a substance, or the thought you keep renting. The answer is the same. Agree with Jesus.
If you have not shut the easy doors, go back to dismantling triggers.
- 15 Mix it with faith
- 16 Like a child
- 17 He does not change
- 18 The armor

Day 15. Mix the Word with faith
Hebrews 4:2. The word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
God’s Word dissolves into your spirit and becomes part of who you are. It does not stay a quote on a page.
Declaration. God’s Word dissolves into my spirit and becomes part of who I am.
Do this. Pick one promise of freedom (for example Romans 6:14). Say it out loud thirty times through the day, until it sinks in like sugar in water.
Prayer. Lord, I mix Your Word with faith today. I will not let doubt keep Your truth dry on the surface of my heart. Amen.
Day 16. Childlike faith
Mark 10:15. Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.
You trust your Father like a child. You drop your arguments against His promises.
Declaration. I trust my Father like a child. I drop my arguments against His promises.
Do this. Find one area where you have been over-analyzing your recovery. Drop the arguments on purpose and say out loud: God said I am free, I believe it, and that settles it.
Prayer. Father, forgive my pride and my skepticism. Give me a simple heart that agrees with Your Word right away. Amen.
Day 17. God at His zenith
James 1:17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
God is always at His zenith over your life. His character and His will to free you never change. Zenith means the high point. He does not dip when you do.
Declaration. God is always at His zenith over my life. His character and His will to free me never change.
Do this. However you feel today, tired, sad, or stressed, spend fifteen minutes praising God for His character that never changes.
Prayer. Lord, thank You that You never change. When my feelings shift like shadows, I anchor my soul in who You are. Amen.
Day 18. The armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-11. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
You are dressed in God’s armor. No dart of the enemy gets through your shield of faith.
Declaration. I am dressed in God’s armor. No dart of the enemy gets through my shield of faith.
Do this. Before you get out of bed, pray through each piece of the armor out loud: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation.
Prayer. Lord, I put on Your armor today. I stand firm against every subtle impulse and every lie. Amen.
Day 19. Taking thoughts captive
2 Corinthians 10:4-5. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
You guard the gate of your mind. You stop impure thoughts the second they show up.
Declaration. I guard the gate of my mind. I stop impure thoughts the second they show up.
Do this. The second a triggering image or fantasy touches your mind today, say out loud: I take that thought captive to the obedience of Christ right now.
Prayer. Holy Spirit, keep my mind alert. Help me stop thoughts at the door before they take root in my emotions. Amen.
Day 20. The secret place
Matthew 6:6. When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place.
Your most important life is the hidden time with your Father.
Declaration. My most important life is the hidden time with my Father.
Do this. Spend twenty minutes in a closed room, in silence, with no devices. Do not hurry. Just be with God. Love Him and let Him love you.
Prayer. Father, thank You for the sweetness of the secret place. Everything that lasts in my life starts here with You. Amen.
Day 21. Praise in the middle of temptation
Psalm 149:6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.
Praise is your weapon. The enemy cannot work on your desires where God is being praised.
Declaration. Praise is my weapon. The enemy cannot work on my desires where God is being praised.
Do this. If temptation or heaviness hits today, put on worship music right away. Sing out loud until the urge breaks.
Prayer. Lord, I lift Your name high today. Let praise in my mouth break every attack against who I am in You. Amen.
Next is lasting freedom, days 22 to 30.
